'Dogs hit the road for Logan and Boise

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team will hit the road this week for two conference games, starting with a trip to Logan, Utah to face Utah State on Thursday at Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field with kickoff set for 6 p.m. PT.

Fresno State will close-out their trip with a stop in Boise, Idaho on Sunday where the Bulldogs will square off with the Broncos at Boas Soccer Complex at 11 a.m. PT.

Shivani Battaglia set the tone to begin conference play by recording her second shutout of the season against Nevada. The junior from Perth, Australia finished last week with her second shutout in conference play while saving seven of the eight shots she faced between San Diego State and New Mexico

Battaglia moved into a tie for 6th all-time in program history with her sixth career shutout

Battaglia has held opponents to a goal or less in nine of eleven games this season

During conference play, Battaglia leads the MW in shutouts (2) as well as goals against average (0.54).

LIMITING OPPORTUNITIES

Since the beginning of the season, Fresno State's defense has held opponents to limited scoring opportunities. The Bulldogs have continued their strong defensive play through conference play, as the team has allowed only two goals through four games.

Fresno State has limited their opponents to a goal or less in 10 of 12 games, including their past seven matches
