INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS OVER, TIME FOR OUTDOOR

With several Bulldogs still missing Fresno State's first home meet two weeks ago coming off of the indoor season, the women's team will have its full roster available this weekend in Sacramento.

After redshirting the indoor season, Madison Hutton and Cierra Jackson made their season debuts two weeks ago at the Bulldog Invitational.

STARTING WHERE SHE LEFT OFF

Last year, Cierra Jackson posted NCAA qualifying marks in the shot put, discus and hammer, despite competing in the hammer just twice during the spring. In her first meet of 2025, the Bulldog Invitational, Jackson not only appeared in all three events, but won all three events with marks of 57.28m/187-11 in the discus, 56.63m/185-9 in the hammer and 15.55m/51-0.25 in the shot put.

IT'S BEEN AWHILE

With Fresno State hosting the Bulldog Invitational at Warmerdam Field on March 8, it marked the first time since 2011 that Fresno State had hosted an entire meet at its on-campus facility.

Fresno State had since opted to host the hammer and select events on campus, running the remainder of its events for meets at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis.

IN THE RECORD BOOK

Fresno State entered the 2025 season with 11 marks on its Top 10 lists coming from student-athletes on its current roster.

Cierra Jackson (SP, DT, HT) and Madison Hutton each hold three of those marks (100mH, LJ, PENT).

Jackson also holds the school record in the shot put outdoors at 17.39m/57-0.75.

HOSTING THREE IN THE VALLEY

Fresno State will host three meets in the Central Valley this season. The first will be the Bulldog Invitational held at Warmerdam Field on March 8. The end of March will see the West Coast Relays take place March 28-29. The Bulldogs' final tune-up for the Mountain West Championships will be the Fresno State Invitational on May 3.

Meets also in the Valley are the Sunbird Invitational at Fresno Pacific (Feb. 22) and the Mountain West Championships at Buchanan High School (May 15-17).
