Jacobs named MW All-Tournament Team

LAS VEGAS - Fresno State's Mia Jacobs was named to the MW All-Tournament Team announced by the conference following the women's championship game on Wednesday night. Jacobs earns her first MW All-Tournament team recognition of her career. The junior is also the first for the Bulldogs in the last three seasons, 2021 was the last All-Tournament Team recognition with Haley Cavinder and Aly Gamez.

Jacobs marked starts in all three tournament games this season, averaging 18.0 points and 12.0 rebounds. The six-foot-two forward led the team in rebounds in all three contests and in scoring against Colorado State and Wyoming. Jacobs opened the conference with a All-MW postseason accolade.

Over the course of three tournament games Jacobs totaled 54 points (18.0 avg), 36 rebounds (12.0 avg), 3 steals, six assists, 79% from the charity line (19-of-24), 35% from both beyond the arc (5-of-14) and field (15-of-42) with 114 minutes (38.3 avg)

Mia Jacobs was the first Bulldog since 2017 to have consecutive double-doubles in the Mountain West Tournament, against Colorado State matched her career-high 18 rebounds with 20 points and against San Jose State with 14 points and 10 rebounds

For her career, Mia Jacobs is averaging 16.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in the MW Tournament, the only other player to have a career average of at least 15 points and 10 rebounds in the MW Tournament in UNLV's Lina Frohlich (2000-02)

Back-to-back double-doubles for Mia Jacobs marks the second Bulldog in program history (Bego Faz Davalos, 4, 2017) and the first since Desi-Rae Young in 2023

Mia Jacobs is one of two players D1 players this season to have at least 500 points, 300 rebounds and 50 assists, along with Laura Ziegler (St. Joes)
