Five named to Shrine Bowl 1000

FRESNO, Calif. - Five Fresno State football seniors were named to the Shrine Bowl 1000 on Tuesday, the preseason list that highlights the Top-1000 all-star game eligible players by the East-West Shrine Bowl.

Fresno State's offense was represented by the offensive line with Mose Vavao and Braylen Nelson on the preseason list. Defensively, Dean Clark and Cam Lockridge were picked from the secondary while Devo Bridges represented the defensive line.

The Shrine Bowl 1000 serves as a look into the scouting process for the all-star game, as well as a preview of college players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2025 NFL Draft class.

The preseason honors continue to roll in for the Bulldogs as a handful have already earned preseason recognition by Phil Steele and Athlon Sports. Bridges and Vavao were also members of the preseason All-Mountain West team announced from MW Media Days in early July.

Fresno State has had at least one player receive an invitation to the prestigious East-West Shrine Bowl in each of the last seven years. Last year, starting linebacker Levelle Bailey participated in the event. He later signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Denver Broncos.

The 100th edition of the East West Shrine Bowl is set for January 30, 2025 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas
