Four 'Dogs earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Swim & Dive team saw four student-athletes earn recognitions by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) to the 2023 Academic All-District® Division I team this week.

CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes swim and dive honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The Bulldogs represented on the team include Sera Hanagan, Korrie Tengan, Clara Laskey and Samantha Arredondo.

Each student-athlete selected is at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and carries a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. Student-athletes selected must also be a consistent contributor on the field, having competed in at least four of the institution's competitions OR place top eight in a conference meet.

On the academic side, the Arizona native, Hanagan earned a 3.87 GPA and is a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Exercise. A Hawaii native, Tengan also a junior, earned a 3.68 GPA and is a Pre-Business major. Laskey, a sophomore from California earned a 3.55 GPA as a Pre-Health major. Arredondo, a sophomore from Arizona, earned a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Biology major.
