Wheatfall signed by Eagles

PHILADELPHIA, PENN. - The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Fresno State wide receiver Keric Wheatfall, the franchise officially announced on Monday afternoon. Wheatfall received an invitation to the Eagles minicamp on a tryout basis, and impressed to earn his spot.

Wheatfall joined the Bulldogs as a junior college transfer from Blinn College (Texas) in 2019. In his three seasons, he compiled 78 receptions for 1,286 yards and six touchdowns. In 2021, Wheatfall was third on the team with 38 catches, 616 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He was an all-conference wide receiver honorable mention selection in 2020.

Wheatfall is a two-time Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award watch list honoree. He also participated in the 2022 Tropical Bowl All-Star game.

Wheatfall impressed with his speed, length and route running abilities while initially being recruited to Fresno State.

Wheatfall joins 2021 seniors DaRon Bland (Dallas Cowboys), Ronnie Rivers (Arizona Cardinals), Arron Mosby (Carolina Panthers) and Kevin Atkins (San Francisco 49ers) as Bulldogs who have signed to play at the next level. Bland was the lone Bulldog to be drafted from the class, being picked up by the Cowboys in the fifth round (167th overall) in the NFL Draft.
