'Dogs sign transfer Mia Jacobs

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State women's basketball added 2023 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team selection Mia Jacobs on Saturday. The LaSalle transfer joins the Bulldogs with three years of eligibility.

"Mia is a long, skilled and versatile forward who brought great experience with her into college and had a good level of success in her freshman year in the Atlantic 10," Fresno State head coach Jaime White said. "We love Mia's competitive drive and work ethic and are excited to continue the tradition of great Australian players here at Fresno State."

Jacobs played one year at LaSalle, averaging 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, starting 13 of the 30 games that she played in. In conference play, Jacobs started 13 of 14 games and was second for the Explorers with 11.6 points per game and averaged a team-best 6.5 rebounds per contest. She was Top 25 in the league in both categories.

The Perth, Australia product registered 14 double-digit scoring games and had three games with double digit rebounds.

Prior to moving to the States for college, Jacobs was a development player for the Perth Lynx, a team that finished second in the WNBL. She earned state league MVP titles at U16, U17 and U18 levels and was part of the state's U18 league championship team.
