Dogs wrap up in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -  The first tournament of the 2021-22 Fresno State women's golf season is officially wrapped up. The Bulldogs finished the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in 13th place with a 25-over-par 889 (297-294-298) at the UNM Championship Golf Course.

Senior Jessica Hall made a jump up the leaderboards on Tuesday, leading the 'Dogs and finishing T26 with a 4-over-par 220 (75-73-72). First year Bulldog Nicola Kaminski finished one stroke behind Hall, tying for 32nd place with a 221 (70-73-78).

Senior Harriet Lynch was tied for 38th after shooting a 223 (+7). Lynch had the lowest round by any Bulldog at the tournament with a 3-under-par 69 in the second round on Monday.

Sophomores Lydia Volkmer and Lory Paradis rounded out the scoring for the 'Dogs. Volkmer finished tied for 66th, shooting a 13-over 229 (77-79-73). Paradis placed T87 with a 21-over 237 (75-82-80).

What's Next - Fresno State returns to the course on Sept. 25-26 as they return to California for the Molly Intercollegiate, co-hosted by Oregon State and Cal. The tournament is held at the Bayonet Golf Club in Seaside, Calif.
