Florida Man Arrested After Cop Watched Him Toss Another Man Off Of Bridge

A police officer in Florida happened to be at the right place at the right time when he witnessed a shirtless man throw another man off of a bridge following a heated argument. The officer stopped his car, drew his gun and confronted the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Derrick Goodin, ordering him to get on the ground. Goodin was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm, battery, and breach of the peace."

Daytona Beach Police explained that Goodin had gotten into an argument with a woman and the man he threw into the water over money. During the argument, Goodin threw the woman's bike over the bridge, which caused the second man to intervene. That's when the police officer pulled up and watched Goodin toss him headfirst into the shallow water below.

Luckily for the man who was thrown into the water, McKenzie Reijonen was in a rowboat nearby and helped pull him to the shore. He suffered a gash on his head but was expected to be fine.

“I was just worried that he could have been punched unconscious or drowning or somewhere down there in the water and I did what I hoped somebody would do for me,” Reijonen told Fox35

This was the fourth time that Goodin has been arrested in 2018.
